Malori LaPorte, one of our first graders, entered the "American Spirit" poster contest sponsored by Attorney General Charles C. Foti.  Her poster was chosen to represent all 1st graders from St. Mary Parish in the first statewide contest.

Malori's poster was awarded 3rd place statewide.  She, her parents, and our art teacher Mrs. Shirley attended a reception at the National D-Day Museum in New Orleans on February 25 where she was honored as one of the state's most talented students.
