BOYS’ SHIRT:

·    Light blue, knit shirt with collar and front placket w/ buttons

·    No contrast stitching

·    Long or short sleeves - must be tucked in

·    Official school uniform logo on left chest optional

GIRLS’ BLOUSE:

·    White knit shirt, plain, w/ collar and front placket w/buttons or uniform blouse

·    No contrast stitching

·    Long or short sleeve - must be tucked in

·    Official school uniform logo on collar or left chest optional

PANTS – BOYS AND GIRLS: NO LOW RISE

·    Long pants - navy twill straight leg w/navy topstitching only

·    Girls may wear pants to Mass on extremely cold days.

·    PK3 - solid navy, elastic-waist pants, polyester/ cotton, cotton, or knit - no belts, zippers, or buttons.

SHORTS – BOYS AND GIRLS: NO LOW RISE

·    Boys’ – navy twill approximately knee length

·    Girls’ – uniform plaid approximately knee length

·    PK3 - solid navy, elastic-waist, polyester/cotton, cotton, or knit. No belts, zippers, or buttons.

GIRLS’ JUMPERS AND SKIRTS: NO LOW RISE 

·    Girls, Pre-K4 –3^rd, uniform plaid jumper required

·    Girls, Grades 4^th-6^th, uniform plaid skirt required

·    Must be approximately knee length

·    Required on Mass days

GIRLS’ SKORTS:

·    Uniform plaid, Pre-K3-6th

·    May not be worn to Mass

BELTS:

·    Solid navy, black or brown

·    Belts must be worn where there are belt loops.

SOCKS:

·    Solid navy or solid white “true” CREW height sock

·    NO ANKLE CREW

·    No tennis or sport socks

·    No trim or logo on socks

SHOES:

·    SOLID white or solid black tennis or athletic shoe

·    No contrasting trim

·    Must be laced correctly and tied

·    Velcro clasp or zip shoes are allowed.

·    Shoestrings must be solid and same color as shoe

·    No beads on shoe strings       l No dress shoes

·    No slip-ons or backless           l No boots or high tops

·    No heelies

·    PK3 SHOES - VELCRO CLASP ONLY

SWEATERS:

·    Solid navy or solid white cardigan

·    Holy Cross sweatshirt

·    No sweatshirts other than Holy Cross Elementary

·    No vests of any kind

WINDBREAKERS/JACKETS:

·    Solid navy windbreaker or jacket

·    Solid gray fleece jacket with HCES uniform logo available at Alumni Shoppe or Skipper’s

·    No stripes or decorations

·    No jean jackets

COATS:

·    Heavy overcoats for extremely cold days must be worn over Holy Cross sweatshirt or regulation windbreaker.

P. E. DAY:                                                             

·    Boys - Uniform long pants, or uniform shorts

·    Girls - Uniform long pants, uniform shorts, uniform skort, or solid navy shorts must be worn under jumper or skirt

BIRTHDAY DAY:

·    Pants - regular waist, plain, long blue denim jeans or capris. NOTE: Boys or girls may wear denim knee-length walking shorts. (No colors, no stripes, no decorations, no jean skirts, no overalls, no hip huggers) or regulation school walking shorts or long pants.

·    Shirts - choice of HOLY CROSS t-Shirt or HOLY CROSS sweatshirt or regulation school shirt

·    Shoes - choice of tennis shoes and socks; No heelies

HAIR:

·    Hair must be well kept and out of eyes

·    Not past top of uniform shirt collar for boys

·    No tails or hair color/dye/bleach

·    No strange or bizarre cuts, including partially shaved heads, bowl-type, or undercuts

·    No add-ons, extensions

·         Conservative hair ornaments, hair bows, and barrettes only

·    No hair wraps

JEWELRY:

·    Religious medals or crosses only – no necklaces

·    Watches allowed - no play watches

·    One ring only may be worn

·    No bracelets

·    No earrings on boys 

·    Girls - one earring per ear, nothing beyond the earlobe

·    No jewelry that may cause distractions

·    No play jewelry

·    The school is not responsible for lost jewelry. 

OTHER REGULATIONS:

·    Long or short sleeve white undershirt or turtleneck under uniform shirt - no logos front or back, no trim

·    No jeans                                    l  No colored nail polish

·    No knit pants                             l  No artificial nails

·    No jean shorts                           l  No make-up

·    No athletic shorts or plastics   l  No tattoos     

·    No baseball caps

Four (4) dress code violations will result in detention and loss of Birthday Day dress for the month
